In 1964 a GS class open goods wagon number 8726 was converted to carry a Hydrochloric acid tank. The sides were removed but it retained its ends. By 1970 it was painted in a pale livery (possibly white or light blue). Its ends showed traces of Indian red beneath the body colour.
