Nine wagons (25065, 25078, 25081, 25093, 25096, 25123, 25128, 25196, 25062) became class QUR in July 1995 for transporting rails. At some point 25096 was reclassified QURD I believe.  There were also reclassifications of 13 wagons as class QUT (including 25071, 25083, 25163, 25164, 25165, 25166, 25169, 25175, 25187 + 4 others - possibly 25084, 25130, 25137, 25182 ) for track relaying and at least eight (25080, 25097, 25109, 25132, 25160, 25185, 25194, 25195) as QUS sleeper wagons. The QUT were retained by Westnetrail but most QUA went to AWR/ARG.

Twenty-two wagons (25106, 25110, 25112, 25115, 25116, 25121, 25124, 25126, 25129, 25140, 25150, 25161, 25170, 25186, 25190, 25197, 25201, 25205, 25206, 25207, 25209, 25210) received bogies from WMD wagons in 2002 to upgrade them to a load capacity of 82 tons. They were reclassified QUB by AWR/ARG. 

The QUA and derivatives were the last operational vacuum braked wagons in WA. Use of the QUA and QUB ended in 2007 but they remained in storage until 2010. The 95 QUA owned by QR national at that point were 25061, 25063, 25064, 25066 - 25077, 25079, 25082, 25084 - 25092, 25095, 25098 - 25105, 25107, 25108, 25111, 25113, 25114, 25117 -25120, 25122, 25125, 25127, 25131, 25133, 25134, 25136, 25138, 25139, 25141 -25149, 25151 -25153, 25155 - 25159, 25162, 25167, 25168, 25172 - 25174, 25176 - 25181, 25183, 25184, 25188, 25189, 25191 - 25193, 25198, 25200, 25202 -25204 and25208. They also had QUR 25123 on their books for some reason. 85 QUA and the 22 QUB were written off in September 2010 with 10 QUA retained.
