In 1988 WBAX 30705, 30711, 30719, 30728, 30736, 30741, 30774, 30777 were converted to WQDF class container wagons to carry Sodium Cyanide. The photo above shows one of the first pair lettered WQD but I think this must have been changed quickly as the record card only refers to WQDF. They were followed in 1989 by the conversion of WBAX 30713, 30714, 30720, 30726, 30733, 30746, 30757 to WQDF. In 1993 WQEF 30743 was converted to WQDF. The other WQEF (30704) ended up coded as AZDY along with the WQDFs but I'm not sure if it was ever WQDF as the record card ends in 1993. At some point the code was changed to WQDY. By 2010 there were 17 Sodium Cyanide container wagons (ex WQDF and WQEF) coded as AZDY 30704, 30705, 30711, 30713, 30714, 30719, 30720, 30726, 30728, 30733, 30736, 30741, 30743, 30746, 30757, 30774, 30777.
