These nine wagons (18506, 18592, 18626, 18667, 18699, 18730, 18740, 18806, 18966) were converted from standard GH class wagons in 1955. Evidently this was anything but a success as GHR18966 was swiftly reconverted in 1956 followed by the rest of the class in 1957.
