Class JM tankers

In 1929 a batch of 10 tankers built by Hurst Nelson and Co arrived in Western Australia for Shell. They were numbered 18-27. A further six (31-36) followed in 1930 and a final six (37-42) arrived in 1931.  In 1941 27 and 31 went to South Australia for Army use followed by 20 and 25 in 1942. They were all returned in 1946. In 1975 18,20,22 and 38-42 were written off. Number 33 was sold to the Hotham Valley Railway in 1985 but was listed as written off in 1998.
