Class JR tankers

In 1938 three 5900 gallon tankers was built for Vacuum Oil (later Mobil). They were numbered 179, 180 and 188. They were followed in 1939 by 189, 198 and 199.

At least one of these tankers (180) was different with the two smaller domes removed. The WAGR outline diagram is shown below and also shows this arrangement. In 1986 all six were sold to BP.
