Class RO Nickel Container flat wagons |
RO2166 (WAGR Official) |
Relatively late in the life of the R class a group of twenty-seven wagons were selected for conversion to flats to carry nickel containers. Logically they should have ended up somewhere in the U or Q groups but instead they were reclassified RO. There was no bodywork other than the six bolsters to support the three nickel ore containers. They were converted in 1969 but by 1976 they were all gone. |
