Class JC and JCA Fuel Oil tankers

In 1936 a pair of tankers, numbered 152 and 153, was built for VACUUM oil. A further example (154) followed in 1937 with the final four 181-184 built in 1938. They were a follow on to the earlier JB class for the same company but with longer wheelbase bogies.

The WAGR outline diagram is shown below. This diagram also covers class JB which had shorter 5'-0" wheelbase bogies.

In 1984 JC153 was converted to JCA standard followed by 184 in 1985 and 152 in 1986. 182 also became a JCA at around this time.  All four JCA were sold to BP in 1986.
