Class JC and JCA Fuel Oil tankers |
In 1936 a pair of tankers, numbered 152 and 153, was built for VACUUM oil. A further example (154) followed in 1937 with the final four 181-184 built in 1938. They were a follow on to the earlier JB class for the same company but with longer wheelbase bogies. |
The WAGR outline diagram is shown below. This diagram also covers class JB which had shorter 5'-0" wheelbase bogies. |
In 1984 JC153 was converted to JCA standard followed by 184 in 1985 and 152 in 1986. 182 also became a JCA at around this time. All four JCA were sold to BP in 1986. |
