WAGR Official photo of QRS24431 (RHWA collection)

A total of twelve QRS class sleeper wagons were built by Midland Workshops in 1964. They were numbered 24421-24432. In 1979 24424 was written off followed by 24425 in 1990 and the rest of the class in 1998.  The wagon in my photo below shows that the stanchions on this wagon at least had been replaced with shorter ones compared to the builders photo above and the outline diagram below.

Other Sleeper wagons The W.A.G.R.'s other sleepers were class NA, and the bogie vehicles in Classes QCS, QPS, and QS.
